God's peace is waiting for you

We have been looking at Peace and our God of Peace through a PEACE acrostic. Last time we looked at our God of Peace and what his peace is, today we are going to look at how having the peace of our God of Peace can encourage us, if we choose it to.

E ncourage

1TH 5:23-24 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.

2 Thessalonians 3:16 further reminds us; “God himself will give us peace at all time and in every way” so now we have a choice to be encouraged and inspired to grasp hold of God’s peace, where our body, soul and spirit are at rest or we can walk in anxiety, worry and fear.

Often, we find ourselves struggling with grasping hold of God’s peace because it feels elusive and beyond our grasp, the truth is, peace is beyond our natural grasp, because we live in a world that is constantly changing and because of growth and decay is in flux. Therefore, peace is a tall order to have at all.

Our God of Peace is a tall order God

for when he promises to us give his peace at all times, we shall receive his peace,

because our God of Peace is always faithful and never changes.

Remember “God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us of all unrighteousness” 1 John 1:9 and now add to God’s faithfulness to forgiven sin, his ability to give you His peace at all times, and I believe then it is possible not to be anxious or worry about anything, as Philippians 4:6 tells us, because we have the peace of our God of Peace who is always faithful!
