Subduing the Sea of Trouble

26 01 2010

I have just finished a new piece of Joy Jewelry called Sea of Trouble, it comes from Zec 10:11 “They will pass through the sea of trouble; the surging sea will be subdued and all the depths of the Nile will dry up”. If you go on to verse 12 we find it is the Lord who strengthens them and in His name they walk.

It is God who subdues the surging sea and dries it up for no man has such power, and as we walk in step with God we can win the battle that stands before us!

In God parting the Red Sea  we see these verses in action, as Moses walked in step with God by raising his hands (see Exodus 14:21) and we see God’s response “for all that night the LORD drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land”. Now safely across, God once again asks Moses to stretch out his hands and as he did, God caused the sea to flow and as it did the pursuing army was destroyed.

How does that work in our lives now? We must first remember and believe God will subdue and dry up our Sea of Trouble. Then decide to walk with as  God by stepping out in faith and listening to him. Finally do as God directs and trust in Him to who is bigger then every Sea of Trouble we will ever encounter.

Are you facing your own sea of trouble, then turn to God and listen to His direction for He will subdue the surging sea and dry it up.
