Cost of Reconciliation

25 10 2011

Last time we talked about the message of reconciliation today’s post will be about the cost of reconciliation.

Reconciliation with God cost Jesus everything and when we desire to reconcile with other people we have to realize there is a cost both to us and to those who we are reconciling with.

Many of us want friendships and other relationships restored, but are we willing to pay the cost, because reconciliation is hard to do.

I think of the song, “Breaking up is hard to do”. But is it really? How many of us have ended a relationship rather than putting in the time and effort (the emotional elbow grease) to restore the relationship. On our own reconciliation seems impossible and so we let go of this grand desire. So how is it possible?

Reconciliation is possible because Acts 17:28, tells us because we live and move and have our being in Christ. In Christ we can do the impossible, becoming Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us, 2 Corinthians 5:20!

Are you willing to pay the price of being Christ’s ambassador in your family, with your friends and in your community? I can guarantee you one thing it will cost you, but only you can determine if worth it.

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie
