How Real Is My Faith?

10 04 2012

This is a question that we must not only ask ourselves during this season but it is the same question the disciples of Christ ask themselves 2000 years ago.

They saw the death and resurrection of Christ but as he went up to heaven, what did they think, how real was their faith? Could they walk beyond Christ, could they live the life God created them for without him?

You and I must walk beyond the resurrection and into the season of waiting, they waited in Jerusalem for the Holy Spirit to come. Has he come to you, or are you still waiting in Jerusalem?

I know for some, you may find my question puzzling, yet I wonder if that is how the disciples also felt. Even today some are still asking who and what is this Holy Spirit. I know Christ tells us he went to heaven that the Holy Spirit would come to teach and counsel us, giving us power, insight and understanding. We still need to be taught, we still need counsel, we still need power and insight, and we desperately need understanding, so we still need the Holy Spirit!

This is an ancient wonder, and yet God is unchanging. He desires us to be equipped and empowered to walk in 21st century just as he did 2000 years ago!

IF you are still waiting for the Holy Spirit to come or want more of his presence, God said ask and he will give it to us. Please visit my Empower page to learn more about the Holy Spirit.
