Do Unto Others

24 11 2012

Yesterday was black Friday,  and as I shopped with my daughters I found myself wondering what God would think of how we were treating those around us. I saw so many people pushing and shoving that when a pregnant woman began dropping items she was struggling to carry, I was amazed as God provided one of her friends who didn’t even know she was pregnant to walk by and help her to pick up her items and get her in the check-out line.

I was one of those people who didn’t stop to help her, and I found myself convicted. What would you have done, how would you have reacted?

How we choose to treat people this holiday season is up to us. The ways we have acted in the past are not good enough, we must resolve to think of others during this holiday season, not focusing on the presents, and bargains, but rather on sharing the Love of Christ in a lost and hurting world.

That is what God is concerned about, how about you?
