Are You a Hidden Pastor?

10 09 2013

5 tree finishedWe are in a series on five spiritual gifts, sometimes the office gifts from Ephesians 4:11-13. Today we are talking about the 4th of these five office gifts, Pastor!

The word pastor/pastors is only found in NIV and other modern versions in Ephesians 4 while in the KJV you also find it in Jer 17:16. If you research the word the NIV uses instead of pastor in Jer 17:16 you will find another much more common word used, shepherd. Shepherd was a title used of Jesus and of the God through out the bible.

What is a pastor?

A Shepherd, a Herdsman, a clergyman serving a local church or parish.logo in blue

We think of the pastor as working in the local church. I want to tell you about a hidden pastor, a woman named is Lola, she is the receptionist/office administrator of Kingdompoint International. Lola would never have thought herself a pastor, and yet she shepherds the flock that comes into KPI with the grace of a seasoned herdsman as she cares for those working in the suite of offices and partnering with each individual to serve everyone who visits the office.

Pastors serve in the homes of families and in the business world as well in churches around the world! Pastors we commend you for being willing to shepherd the flocks God has given you to serve!
