Does God Really Give Good Gifts?

21 09 2013

5 tree finishedAs we continue the series on Kingdom Gifts there are questions we need to have answered which go beyond what each gift is and how it works in the body.

The first of those questions comes as we struggle with God’s calling upon our lives; does God really give good gifts?

We learn in Ephesians 4:11-13, all of these Kingdom gifts are provided by God to equip his people for works of service, but often we aren’t comfortable with the gifts God has given to us.Kingdom Gifts

For example, I have an apostolic gifting in the area of prayer which is great and I love, but I also have an apostolic gifting in teaching, training counselors and pastors and ministry to Ritual Abuse Survivors. I first struggled to find my voice, not feeling worthy and later fear because I didn’t want to put a target on my back for people as well as the enemy to shoot at.

Understanding that God gives good gifts, help us when we are struggling with God’s calling. On those days when I was struggling the most, God would bring to mind those pastors, counselors and clients who have found freedom or understanding because of God’s calling upon my life.
