Will I Ever Use My Gifts?

24 09 2013

5 tree finishedAs we continue the series on Kingdom Gifts there are questions we need to have answered which go beyond what each gift is and how it works in the body. The second of those questions comes as we wrestle with having to wait until God’s appropriate time. Will I ever use my gifts?

As we understand our spiritual gifts and the call upon our lives we wrestle with what I call, getting up to bat and so we asked theGetting Up to Bat question will I ever be used by God? Wrestling with this question I found my focus was wrong, because I was so focused on will God use me that I was not ready when it was my turn to get up to bat!

Being ready acknowledges that God does have a plan and a purpose for who He created you to be. Hebrews 12:1 reminds us “since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles us.” We are all waiting, like the batter in the on deck circle for our turn at bat.

Our job is to prepare, throwing off everything that hinders and the sin so that when it is our turn we can hit it out of the park for God!!!
