Beatitudes of Love

9 11 2013

21909694_sToday we begin a new series about love and it hindrances.

James P. Gills writes of love,

“Love is the essence of being a Christian. We can acknowledge God, prefer God, have faith in God; we can have fellowship with Him and study His word, both unless we dedicate ourselves through love in total commitment to Him, we fall far short of the Christian aspiration (ICor. 13.) There is an empty area in man that only God’s love can fill.”

These words of J. Gills are also true, “Love activates the Holy Spirit within me which prompts me to do works, works are not done to prove my love.”

I leave you with these Beatitudes of Love by Thomas A Charruth:

Blessed are those who find love everywhere,

for they may never be lonely.

Blessed are those who make it easier for others to love them,

for that shall always have plenty of friends.

Blessed are those who are always communicating love, tree of Love

for they are channels of blessing wherever they go.

Blessed are those who bestow healing love,

for they may be known as the physicians of the soul.

Blessed are those who leave love where they go,

for the world will be a better place because they are have lived.

Blessed are those who love to work,

for theirs is the kingdom of services.

Blessed are those who love to share,

for theirs is the kingdom of joy everywhere.

Blessed are those who love to wait,

for theirs is the kingdom of patience.

Blessed are those who love to praise others,

for theirs is the kingdom of appreciation.

Blessed are those who love to put others first,

for theirs is the kingdom of humility.

Blessed are those who love to be courteous,

for theirs is the kingdom of good manners.

Blessed are those who love God first, and above all,

for theirs is the kingdom of right relationship to God, people and things.

Blessed are those who love Jesus Christ,

for they share His tender compassion for the whole world.

Blessed are those who love and receive the Holy Spirit,

for theirs is the kingdom of holiness.

Blessed are those who practice love in relation to all people at all times,

for theirs is kingdom of intimate kindness.

Blessed are those who plan to practice love always,

for they shall live in the house of love and dwell in the city of God forever and ever.

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie
