Reconciliation God and Man part 2

27 08 2011

In my last post we ended on this note…

We must free ourselves from every hindrance and the sin that so easily entangles us and find our way back to God. This might be familiar to you for it comes from Hebrews 12:1.

The key to any form of reconciliation whether it is God and man or man and man is having the freedom to reconcile. It is our choice to free ourselves from every hindrance and sin which standing in the way of any reconciliation. It is a two-part process, letting go of every hindrance, then removing sin.

Let me give you an example, in my life not wanting to get up in the morning can become hindrance in my relationship with God, yet this is not a sin.  A hindrance can cause us unduly frustration, which invites us to become sidetracked as we take our eyes off God. When we dealing with the hindrances in our lives, then we allow reconciliation with God to come as the most common cause of our need for reconciliation is sin itself.

I use to have an eating problem. I used food to comfort myself, which was sinful behavior because food became more important than God, which is idolatry. God helped me get to the root of why I ate and together I walked out of the sin and found reconciliation with God and entered into a deeper level of intimacy and grace in our relationship.

What hindrances and/or sins keep you from having a deeper relationship with God? Will you be honest with yourself and God, allowing the blood of Jesus to cleanse your pain and receive healing and grace as you reconcile with God?

Next time join me as we talk more about this new season of reconciliation and grace as we look at Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 and letting go of the old season so we can enter the new!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

Reconciliation Between God and Man

23 08 2011

We continue looking at this new season of reconciliation and grace by understanding what reconciliation is. Webster’s dictionary tells us reconciliation is: to restore to friendship, harmony or communion. Reconciliation in the bible is found in two forms, the first is between man and man the second is between God and man.

Today we will look at reconciliation between God and Man for in understanding how God reconciles, we understand the importance of grace as it enters in and brings about the miracle of reconciliation!

The reconciliation of God and man took a mediator (Col 1:20) Jesus Christ as often is the case of any truly difficult reconciliation. Early in man’s relationship with God we made choices (in the Garden of Eden) that caused division in our relationship as we broken harmony and communion with our heavenly Father.

I believe our actions broke his heart and yet he had compassion upon us, for at the appropriate time our mediator appeared. The moment of reconciliation came as Jesus did what we could not do for ourselves, restore our relationship with God. For two thousand years we have been walking in the fruit of this reconciliation and yet for some like the seed that fell among thorns which was choked out by life’s worries and riches (sounds like America) so they didn’t mature, they fell away. (You can read more about the parable of the seed in Luke 8:4-15.) We must free ourselves from every hindrance and the sin that so easily entangles us and find our way back to God.

Join me next time as we continue looking at this new season of Reconciliation, as we finish reconciliation; between God and Man.

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

Entering into a New Season of Reconciliation and Grace

16 08 2011

I am convinced that we are entering into a new season of reconciliation and as we enter into this new season we also receive its byproduct grace!

I believe God is bringing us into a unique time of reconciliation, several prophetic people, including Mario Marillo is speaking of this open heaven over Portland, where many will come to Christ. I believe this reconciliation is both inside as well as outside the church.

God is calling us all to forgive others as we have first been forgiven. It is a time where those who have been wounded will be healed physically, emotionally and spiritually, some miraculously!

Recently at church, a woman was in the hospital after suffering a heart attack. Her blood sugar (she is diabetic) and vital signs were fluctuating so greatly that she was in real danger, as her son finished telling me, I offered to pray for him and his mother. As I began to pray I sensed the “Balance” so I began praying for his mother’s body to come back into balance and for her to partner with God in this process. During the service our pastor also led our church in praying for his mother.

An hour and half later after the service ended, the son of this woman came up and said “I have to tell you I just called my dad and mom’s vitals are balanced, her blood sugar is good and she is sitting up cutting out coupons from the Sunday paper!” We were both overjoyed and I couldn’t contain my praise of our almighty God!

When the service began my friend feared for his mother’s life and after he was overjoyed at how God had reconciled the situation, showing mercy and grace to he, his mother and their family!

Join me next time when we talk more about this new season of reconciliation and grace!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

Are we Ready for Reconciliation?

13 08 2011

Are we ready for reconciliation? This is the question I am pondering after listening to a man of God who came to the Portland Metro area to preach and teach. He spoke briefly about himself and his Portland history and year our rejecting his message. As I listened a burden for reconciliation began to rest upon me.

I have felt this burden of reconciliation only one other time, when I was called to lead a team to bring reconciliation between Portland and the state of Oregon.  After the gathering ended, I ask my friend to introduce me to her the senior pastor so I could ask if he would initiate reconciliation on behalf of Portland with this man of God. Yet even after talking to the pastor, where he assured me that they would take action, the burden of reconciliation did not leave me.

We need reconciliation, but do we choose to seek/release it when it is available?

What do we do when reconciliation has been unavailable for so long that when it becomes available we miss it all together. Do we dare function without this loss in place and what would reconciliation mean to us and our capacity to serve? When we allow God to bring reconciliation then our burden to serve becomes our greatest joy as the blessings of God become uninhibited in us and through us to those we serve.

This is the call I hear even today… Oh church, I speak to you now, be my vehicle of reconciliation and share my mercy and grace.

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

Keys to the Kingdom

19 03 2011

For several years people have been giving me keys, first it began with a painting, then scripture, and lately those popular metal keys you can find at the craft store. As a kid I loved to collect keys, so anytime someone had an old key they would add it to my collection. I don’t know how many keys I had, because I never bothered to count them.

40 years ago, before I got married, I got rid of the key collection, and with it my fascination with keys, until recently when I began working on a new teaching, Keys to the Kingdom.

Keys open locked doors, from a home or apartment, to safety deposit boxes and yes I can’t forget those precious car keys that get us from on place to another. All keys have an important part in revealing what is inside, no matter what the key is for.

The Keys to the Kingdom of God are the same. Using these keys provided by God, allows us to enter into amazing places in His kingdom. Some keys everyone can have, like the key of salvation, while other keys, like those of the prophet or apostle are used by only a few.

In the next couple of blogs we will explore Keys to the Kingdom, ones that are especially valuable to the body of Christ as a whole. The complete set of Keys to the Kingdom will be published as they are finished on a new page called Keys to the Kingdom so that you might know and understand what they are, why they have been given to us and finally how they are to be used.

So join me next time when we look at the most valuable Key to the Kingdom, the Key of Salvation for it opens the door to a personal relationship with God.

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Mildred

What is God calling you to?

25 01 2011

In seeking the Lord about 2011 I found myself drawn to discover more about my Jewish heritage. My Jewish heritage was never one that my family promoted; rather it was a part of my heritage which my father hid away like a deep dark secret.

I remember in 1998 while going through customs in the Middle East they identified me as Jewish and questioned my entry into Egypt, and it was during this trip which for the first time I felt Jewish, but passed it off as a fleeting fancy, because I thought everyone felt Jewish when they were in Israel. Years later when my dad died, my half-brother asked me a curious question; Did I know we had Jewish ancestors?

This year, I realize I must discover the truth about who I am as I begin writing about my life in earnest. There has always been is a depth to my walk with the Lord that I have been afraid to discover for all I saw was darkness.

I have always felt a deeper connection to in the bible as though as I was part of it, and over the years as I spoke with people they have commented on how they saw I was especially blessed by God, but only now am I ready to ask the question, could I be Jewish.  Which stirs up another question, I wonder if the reason my father didn’t want me to know about our Jewish heritage was because he knew his daughter well, and that I would hunger to know the God of my ancestors, which he couldn’t allow unless I was willing to embrace the darker side of being Jewish, which I wasn’t.

What is God calling you to discover in 2011? Are you willing to seek after the answers and come closer to your God?

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Mildred

A Prophetic Word for 2011

22 01 2011

Now that we are in  2011 many people I speak with are feeling the strain of change which comes with transition and so when I heard this prophetic word from Elijah List, I wanted to share it with you, so that you might be empowered and encourage as you journey through this new year.

Please note, because of its length the first part of Julia Loren prophetic word is posted here and continues on the Empower page of this blog.

“My Love is the Foundation of All Anointing”

By Julia Loren Posted on 1/16/2011 used by permission

There is a new anointing available right now to those who feel spiritually flat-lined in their relationship with Jesus. There is also a quickening anointing available this year to those who feel like they need more. Do you want it?

On New Year’s day, the Lord spoke clearly to me about remembering the foundation of the anointing. It is a foundation that needs to be remembered – not restored. And the very act of remembering will begin to quicken your pulse and restore the desire to resume where you left off with Jesus…or begin to regain your focus to build upon the foundation and accelerate your anointing in the coming year.

What Jesus is Saying – to You!

Listen! This is what Jesus is saying, to you:

“Do you remember the day you first met Me? Or awakened to the idea of Me and found it so appealing that you struggled and pitched and rolled about like a ship in heavy seas, fighting the wind and the sea instead of running with it? I loved you then and I love you still.

To continue with this prophetic word, visit our Empower page.

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Mildred
