How Committed Are You? Part 3

10 06 2016

12755593_sWe are in the series, How committed are you? In this new season, we all must assess how committed we are to our God and following His plans for our lives even when to follow means pain, struggle and loss. Today we are looking at the blindness of God’s servants.

Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes he could see nothing.

So they led him by the hand into Damascus.

For three days he was blind, and did not eat or drink anything.

Act 9:8 -9

I hope you are familiar with this story of Paul in the book of Acts and his conversion to Christ.  Each of us walk in blindness in an area until like Saul until we receive revelational knowledge from God. For Saul this revelational knowledge change himzagart701 - landscape from Saul to Paul and ignited his great knowledge of scripture, pointing the world both Jew and gentile to Yeshua and forever changing his ministry!

Like Saul (before the revelational knowledge) we can walk in spiritual blindness until the revelational knowledge comes. What are you waiting for? Has God touched your life and you know you have to wait? Allow another, called by God to speak into and minister to you as Paul did. Wait, Fast, Pray and seek God, pressing into all that He is calling you into so that when the revelational knowledge comes you will see clearly and begin your new work with boldness!

Join me next time!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

How Committed Are You? part 2

3 06 2016

12755593_sTwo months ago we begin a new blog series, How committed are you? In this new season, we all must assess how committed we are to our God and following His plans for our lives even when to follow means pain, struggle and loss. Today we are looking at the deafness of God’s servants.

Then he (Elijah) came there to a cave and lodged there; and behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and He said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”                                  1Kings 19:9

Elijah had seen great things (1 Kings 18) and yet he had seen great horror and in fear fled (1 Kings 19). As we hear and see God move we wrestle with our own humanness, becoming overwhelmed as our capacity to stand is expanded. God did not discipline Elijah, rather He encouraged him as he sent an angel to minister to him.

In this season you and I  are going to hear things that are troublesome and will bring with it pain and loss. I walked through such a time two months ago, causing me to step away cavefrom writing as I worked to process the loss of my assistant who died suddenly.

I heard the Lord speaking about the loss that CJM would endure before it happened, so when it happened it wasn’t a shock. We have worked to move forward finding our way as God expands our capacity to move in the new season. Yet at the same time I struggled not wanting to hear such words of loss and pain; so I for a short time told the Lord I couldn’t listen anymore much as Elijah did in 1 Kings 10:3.

To make it through this time of expansion and increasing of our spiritual capacity it is critical to look at the past and allow the Lord to bring healing. As I did, I found myself dealing with the root of my pain, then gave myself permission to re-engage God and as I came into the throne room of God I received ministry from His angels.

God designed our humanness to be our greatest strength knowing that in this time of expansion and growth in the new season, we will have to confess that sometimes hearing God is more than we can handle!

Join me next time we will address blindness in this expanding season!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

How to MOVE in this new season, Part 5

25 03 2016

moveThis is the fifth post in our series How to MOVE in this new season.  Today we are unpacking the E for Equipped in our acrostic MOVE.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2Ti 3:16

To be equipped is to be furnished with something, others would use the word provision.

In 2 Timothy 3 we see God thoroughly equipping the servant of God with the gospel for every good work. In the Old Testament we see the people of God equipped for  physical battle. In every case when the people of God are thoroughly equipped, they are fully prepared for the task at hand.

In this season we need to be ready for God to furnish those things we need. Currently I have been asking for strategies in how to move forward for the Oregon Tabernacle Tent (OTT) as well as for Complete Joy Ministries.

I was praying for God’s strategy for how to re-brand OTT since the vinyl lettering I had putOTT logo on last year came coming off. In faith I removed the rest of the lettering and chose to wait for God to reveal what we should do. In the most unlikely place a man I knew gave me a name of a christian seamstress who can do the job and she is only about 3 miles from my office, so no need to take it down to Salem which is 50 miles away!

Watching for how God will equip the work He has called you do is the final key to our movement in this and any season. When you are equipped to do the work of service movement will be easier and you will find the job goes much more smoothly than if you walk forward ahead of God without His equipping!

Don’t worry or move into anxiousness as you wait to be equipped, because tomorrow God may equip you and call you to move!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

The Relationship that Sustain in a Shifting Atmosphere!

1 05 2015

11087581_sIn our last post we opened a series on our ever shifting atmosphere and the need for maturity. These words are key, for they reveal the difference between walking in maturity and walking in our own strength.

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love,

I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,

but do not have love, I gain nothing.

1Co 13:1 – 3

Before there is obedience, before their is maturity leading naturally into authority, there must be an encounter with God our Father. It is through this relationship that we were created to grow and mature. Moses did not have a vibrant mature relationship with God in Egypt because the bible tells us  in Exodus chapter  3, as Moses tended this father-in-law’s flocks he encountered God.

Moses struggled with those who oppressed his people and still today we struggle with the oppression we face in our daily lives. It is through our relationship with God which brings us to a place of speaking in love, acting in love and giving in love which birthing life in others rather than release the pain in our hearts which can build up when someone does something we don’t agree with.

We would do well to reflect upon the life of Moses; for as he grew in his relationship with God, he learned to follow God and as he followed God, he saw God set his people free!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

Hungering for God’s Presence!

19 09 2014
Vision for CJM office

Vision for CJM office

Agreement has been our focus for several blogs and today is no different. Today we look at agreement with God for His presence to be established.

In the presence of Israel God desired to establish Himself upon the earth in certain places and that is true today. God desires that we seek to come into agreement with where He wants to establish His presence.

And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defense.

Isa 4:5

Our ministry is taking a huge step to seek the lease of a 436 sq foot office space, that is a $500 a month commitment. As the Oregon Prayer Call group prayed the Lord challenged me to come into agreement with where He wanted to establish His presence for CJM to walk into. Right now the space is one huge room. I am requesting the build-out to make it two separate spaces, one side for classes and training and the other small offices for ministry.

It may not seem like the right thing for the owners of the building to do for the long term and so we may not be able to come into agreement causing CJM to look elsewhere. As we prayed I saw why there were no partitioning walls, because in the space CJM inhabits will be a fresh work, a new work and move over, before the walls are, the presence of God will be. At that moment I had peace, to see CJM through even if this isn’t the space. It was the peace that passes all understanding, which guards your heart and mind in Christ Jesus and with it the awe and wonder of God which fills the hearts of men!

As we finished I knew CJM would only establish its office where the Lord’s presence dwells no matter where that is! For it is through the glory of His presence which comes resurrection life and the healing of a hurting world!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

God’s Will His Way

21 04 2012

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” These words from Jeremiah 29 are all too familiar to most of us. When things are bad, we quote them, at least I do. Reminding ourselves that no matter what God does have a plan.

In this new season, we need to remember ever though things are going fine, to walk successfully into this new season we have to know the plan of God, so we can walk in the center of God’s will.

We can get tripped up so easily when we don’t take the time to seek out the face of God and call upon him as Jeremiah 29 goes on to tell us, we must come and pray to God and He will listen to us. This doesn’t always mean taking a minute to ask and watch for the quick answer. I have many things I am seeking the Lord for right now, like what to do with the Metro Ministry Support Group that has been lying dormant for about a year, and it is going to take seeking the face of God to get all the answers.

Any time we turn a corner or enter a new season, like Christ we need to get alone with God, for me that means taking 3 days. For others it might not be as long, it depends on what you are seeking the Lord for. Several years ago, I spent two weeks on my face before Lord, earnestly seeking direction for my life.  Don’t be afraid to spend the time with God, he won’t bite and taking the time will allow you to be prepared to make the decisions that will still be waiting for you to make, when you are finished.

Christ knew the importance of knowing God’s will and we would be wise to do the same.

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

Keys to Believing!

17 03 2012

Recently I met my prayer partner, Rebecca, for lunch. Usually we pray on the phone together once a week, but today we wanted to pray in person because our needs were more pressing. She was sitting in her car when I arrived, so we both go out of our cars to go into the restaurant. After she closed the car door, suddenly she began checking her pockets and hunting in her purse for she realized she had locked her keys in the car. I told her not to worry that I would take her home as she had done for me in the past and we went on and had a nice lunch.

As we finished eating we took time to pray together, Rebecca prayed for me and then I prayed for her, asking the Lord to do for my friend what He had on two occasions done for me, to put her keys which had been locked in the car into her pocket.

As we finished praying I share with Rebecca why I asked God to put her keys back in her pocket and how twice over the last three years after locking my keys in the trunk I asked God to put them in my pocket and he did. Both times in front of witnesses! So with anticipation she felt in the same pockets she had checked before we entered the restaurant and they were there!

James 1:6 tells; when we ask God we must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.  God put those keys back in my friend’s pocket because she believed!

God created the universe so moving a set of keys was no big deal, except to us!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie
