Christ reveals the Faith of Man

24 12 2011

Keeping Christ real is to have a health awe of Christ and today we will be looking at how Christ our Healer reveals the Faith of Man. The faith of Man can be an elusive thing, because we aren’t looking for it but God always highlights it

Christ first reveals the Faith of Man in his own personal walk as he responds to his mother’s request in Cana, turning water into wine at the wedding, John 2. Christ knew his faith must be walked out and so he did so.

Christ also reveals the Faith of Man in those he healed; one example, the woman who couldn’t stop bleeding. She knew if she touched Christ’s garment she would be healed, Jesus said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” Mark 5:34

Christ reveals the Faith of Man in those around him, in his disciples and those who followed him throughout the New Testament as they believed in him, the son of God and their sins were forgiven.

Finally Christ is still revealing the Faith of Man as He calls out to us today, this revelation of Man’s faith through Christ our Healer is the same yesterday, today and forever!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

Entering into a New Season of Reconciliation and Grace

16 08 2011

I am convinced that we are entering into a new season of reconciliation and as we enter into this new season we also receive its byproduct grace!

I believe God is bringing us into a unique time of reconciliation, several prophetic people, including Mario Marillo is speaking of this open heaven over Portland, where many will come to Christ. I believe this reconciliation is both inside as well as outside the church.

God is calling us all to forgive others as we have first been forgiven. It is a time where those who have been wounded will be healed physically, emotionally and spiritually, some miraculously!

Recently at church, a woman was in the hospital after suffering a heart attack. Her blood sugar (she is diabetic) and vital signs were fluctuating so greatly that she was in real danger, as her son finished telling me, I offered to pray for him and his mother. As I began to pray I sensed the “Balance” so I began praying for his mother’s body to come back into balance and for her to partner with God in this process. During the service our pastor also led our church in praying for his mother.

An hour and half later after the service ended, the son of this woman came up and said “I have to tell you I just called my dad and mom’s vitals are balanced, her blood sugar is good and she is sitting up cutting out coupons from the Sunday paper!” We were both overjoyed and I couldn’t contain my praise of our almighty God!

When the service began my friend feared for his mother’s life and after he was overjoyed at how God had reconciled the situation, showing mercy and grace to he, his mother and their family!

Join me next time when we talk more about this new season of reconciliation and grace!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

Getting to Church?

5 03 2011

Our church logo!

Having battled illness for over 3 weeks, last Sunday was the first time I tried to tackle my regular Sunday schedule; going to the radio station and then on to church, it felt so good but I was oh so tired when I got home.

Usually I get to church ready to worship with my flags, but Sunday I wasn’t up to much more than sitting in the chair and attending the service. There are days like that, some people would ask, does it make you a bad Christian?

Which brings us to today’s question: Do you go to church only when you feel up to it physically and emotionally?

On Sunday, I was still battling to turn the final corner my illness, getting back my energy and so chose to go to church, it was tough not to do all the things I usually do, going around and greeting everyone, yet it gave those who care about me a chance to come encourage and pray for me.

What I learned is this, going to church even if I don’t feel like it is worth, for if had I chosen to stay home I would have missed out on being blessed by my church family when I really needed it.

FYI for those of you who are encouragers: Remember its ok to have those days when others encourage you, even if you can’t praise God the way you usually do!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Mildred

Elvis must leave the building!

1 03 2011

Since getting sick three weeks ago, I have been on a health roller coaster, going from being so sick I couldn’t get out of  bed to feeling well enough to sit  and watch TV with my husband, but never really getting over this illness.

When I first got sick I had a head cold which by the end of the first week had migrated into my chest. I battled for another week and then the cold went up into my sinuses and gave me three days of migraines. By the start of the 3rd week there was a deep rattling in my chest when I coughed because the cold had migrated back to my chest.

Sitting in my office checking e-mails during the third week of my illness, I decided it was time for this illness to leave, then I thought of the old saying, “Elvis has left the building”, and at that moment I decided that like Elvis it was time for this illness to leave the building!

Sick and tired of being sick, I prayed that God would remove this illness from my body. I had been praying for my healing thought out my illness as had others, but I found by the second day of praying this way I was beginning to make head way in feeling better. With every coughed, I thought about getting well and I would say it is time for Elvis to leave the building and laugh. There is power in joy and there is power in taking up your rightful authority over your life and I was finally to a place where I was ready to do just that!

I am not completely well but I am so much better, that I even made it to church, thanks be to God that Elvis is leaving the building (if you know what I mean)!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Mildred

Combating Fear

2 10 2010

Recently I gave a two evening talk on: How do those in the Occult see Christians. In the second session our evening centered around 1 John 4:7-18 and afterwards God kept impressing the final two verses deeper and deeper into my life and only later did I realize why.

“God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love”. 1 John 4:16-18

Fear has to do with punishment, how these words are resonating in me these days. I went to the doctor because one of my moles had turned black and the skin around it is inflamed. I had gone to the doctor several months ago about the changes in my moles and learned if one turns black then I need to see you again.

Sitting the morning of the appointment I reflected on how watching my mom go through cancer twice left me with trauma and sadness. I loved my mom and years ago, the second round of cancer killed her.

Then I thought about myself and could see how fear would creep in if I wasn’t alert and on my guard so this passage and specifically “fear has to do with punishment”, was now comforting me. I could walk out of all fear because every sin in my life is under the blood of Christ and it doesn’t matter what happens at the appointment because I can have confidence in God’s plan and I know he isn’t through with me yet!

At the appointment I was told it was not cancer, though the doctor did intend to remove it before it had a chance to become cancerous, to God be the glory!

So the next time you are faced with a challenge, and it scares you, remember you don’t have to walk into fear even if it is calling out to you, because fear has everything to do with punishment and Christ has already paid the price to free you!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Mildred
