Prepare to Shine Brightly!

1 01 2016

2016 calendarAs we begin 2016 it has been a tradition for the Lord to give me a prophetic word for his people at the beginning of the year. I believe keeping Phil 1:6 is a key scripture as we enter this year.

“… being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

Php 1:6

I have been struggling with all the changes in my life. From changing churches to embracing my Jewishness. I said good-bye to my messianic body of believers as 2015 came to a close and as I did I have been forced to embrace who I am. I have made the decision to honor God by holding Sabbat each week. I had been struggling with how to begin because I couldn’t find a candle holder, so I decided to make one.shabbat candle holder

I prayed and I looked at the craft store I purchased this simple wood plaque and wood candle cups and brought them home. I took a picture to send to a friend of my project I began seeing the profound prophetic word for 2016 which God was releasing.

I sense we who believe in Yeshua (Jesus) are being set apart for something big.

Like this wood, we are yet unfinished for in the former season God shaped us and molded us but the work we were created for was never finished completely and like the candle cups which are as yet unsecured for the screws which I purchased to secure them were far too short so is the depth of our relationship with our God.

Our job is to be willing to accept the depth of relationship with Yeshua that is required for our light to shine brightly before men in this season and to rest in the truth that He who began a good work in us will bring it to completion!

Walk with expectation in 2016 for the Lord to shine brightly through you!

Children of God Move by the Spirit!

22 09 2012

In today’s post we continue this series on Moving in the Spirit as we look once again in Romans and the words of Paul.

“Only those people who are led by God’s Spirit are his children.

God’s Spirit doesn’t make us slaves who are afraid of him.

Instead, we become his children and call him our Father.”

 Rom 8:14 – 15

Even God-fearing Christians are afraid of or can’t believe in the move of the Holy Spirit. The world longs for the spirit’s move even sensing that he should be moving, but they don’t know their Heaven Father or his son, Jesus. When they are introduced to the move of another spirit they press in hoping that it will fill the longing for freedom they have in their soul.

When we do not press into the move of the Holy Spirit, we can be tricked into feeling like we are not children of God or as if we are slaves of God, for we are ruled by the commandments of God (his rules) only and not the liberty of Christ (his spirit) which breaks our human bondage.  The great benefit of moving in the Holy Spirit is that he leads us into the freedom of a deeper, more fulfilling relationship with our Heavenly Father.

“Press in my children”, the Lord would say to you this day. “Press into me and know my word, that when my spirit stirs within you, you will be able to partner with me with all your body, all your soul and all your spirit!”

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

Reveals and Searches for the Greater Good

15 09 2012

Today in our series Moving in the Spirit, we transition from Romans and into I Corinthians to see the Holy Spirit revealing all things including the mind of God for the greater good.

God’s Spirit has shown you everything. His Spirit finds out everything, even what is deep in the mind of God. 1Co 2:10 (CEV)

Paul here is speaking to the Corinthians concerning what the Lord himself is willing to reveal. It is the Holy Spirit who makes the deep things known, revealing the heart of both man and God.

Recently I was asked to come and pray for a woman’s sick son, as I drove to her home the Holy Spirit revealed her fear about her son’s illness. After spending time praying for her son, the spirit lead me to gently ask about her fear and as she acknowledged the truth, the fear was released and she was free to care of her son.

Knowing that the Holy Spirit knows us inside and out can be intimidating, but we must walk into the maturity of Christ, accepting this truth and trusting he will use this information as God does, for the greater good!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

Entering into a New Season of Reconciliation and Grace

16 08 2011

I am convinced that we are entering into a new season of reconciliation and as we enter into this new season we also receive its byproduct grace!

I believe God is bringing us into a unique time of reconciliation, several prophetic people, including Mario Marillo is speaking of this open heaven over Portland, where many will come to Christ. I believe this reconciliation is both inside as well as outside the church.

God is calling us all to forgive others as we have first been forgiven. It is a time where those who have been wounded will be healed physically, emotionally and spiritually, some miraculously!

Recently at church, a woman was in the hospital after suffering a heart attack. Her blood sugar (she is diabetic) and vital signs were fluctuating so greatly that she was in real danger, as her son finished telling me, I offered to pray for him and his mother. As I began to pray I sensed the “Balance” so I began praying for his mother’s body to come back into balance and for her to partner with God in this process. During the service our pastor also led our church in praying for his mother.

An hour and half later after the service ended, the son of this woman came up and said “I have to tell you I just called my dad and mom’s vitals are balanced, her blood sugar is good and she is sitting up cutting out coupons from the Sunday paper!” We were both overjoyed and I couldn’t contain my praise of our almighty God!

When the service began my friend feared for his mother’s life and after he was overjoyed at how God had reconciled the situation, showing mercy and grace to he, his mother and their family!

Join me next time when we talk more about this new season of reconciliation and grace!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

Believer’s Response – Psalms 23

19 02 2011

As I finished  listening to Psalms 22, I saw Psalms 23 in a new light for now it became the believer’s response to the sacrifice of Christ.

Read it afresh with me….

“(because) The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.

He makes me lie down in green pastures,

he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul.

He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil, for you (Christ) are with me;

your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

(I praise you for) You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.

You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,

and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.”

Our response as believers in Christ should be to walk the path the Lord has laid out for us as Christ did and knowing and accepting it will be filled with both good and bad, but above all it is filled with God’s presence, His goodness and love as we dwell in the house of the Lord forever!

Next time we will look at Psalms 24 and see the natural effect our response to Christ’s sacrifice can have on the world.

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Mildred

Season of the hunter?

5 02 2011

Recently while studying the bible I found a passage that has me thinking… are we in a season of the fishermen or the hunter?

Jeremiah 16:2 “But you have behaved more wickedly than your fathers. See how each of you is following the stubbornness of his evil heart instead of obeying me.” (That sounds like today)

Later he goes on to say…

JER 16:16-17 “But now I will send for many fishermen,” declares the LORD, “and they will catch them. After that I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them down on every mountain and hill and from the crevices of the rocks. My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from me, nor is their sin concealed from my eyes.”

And then Jeremiah 16:21 records:

“Therefore I will teach them– this time I will teach them my power and might. Then they will know that my name is the LORD.”

As I read these passages I think of the Jesus’ instructions to his disciples in Matthew 28:

MT 28:18-20 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

For many years both in the US and around the world being a fishers of men was all that was required as men and women hungered for the Lord openly. Now in 2011 I see we who are Christians must be willing to hunt going over every mountain and hill to find them. Sometimes it is physical mountains and hills, while other times these mountains and hills are more emotion and spiritual in nature.

If we are entering the season of the hunter, we do not hunt with a crossbow or gun but with the truth of God which is mightier than a two-edged sword! So go out, hunt and seek those who are written in the lamb’s book of life that they might know that His name is Lord!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Mildred

The Power of Words

1 02 2011

My work vest, reminding me as a pastor, I was there to serve, not to be served.

With a word the Lord created the world.

In 2007 some really destructive words were spoken over me by my boss which until recently I didn’t realize were still working to destroy me.

I arrived at church to lead prayer before our bible study, and as we finished my pastor began commenting on the vest I had on. I then told him, this was my work vest which I began wearing while leading work parties at the last church I served at, not realizing the significant of what was about to happen.

Sitting there in the same work vest I had on the day I was fired, He then said, “I want to tell you why I respect you so much.” As he spoke I was taken back to the last time words were spoken over me in my work vest, words that were still destroying me. As my pastor spoke words of life, it was as if my spirit was soaking up living water right from the hand of God.

I watched and listened as the Lord spoke life into areas that my pastor had no clue were only now slowing coming back to life. He used words that only the Lord could have put into his mouth, for they were some of the same words which four year prior has been used to destroy me, wounding me so powerful that I quit speaking into people lives for almost 2 years.

Scripture tells us that words can be sharper then a two edged sword and I had learned this first hand 4 years prior, now I experiencing how healing words could be, I marveled at how God was now cutting those destructive words off of me forever, cementing the truth of another scripture which tells us there is life and death in the tongue!

It is so hard to know what words to allow to touch your life; are they life giving, corrective, or are they destructive.

God I thank you for the power of words. Let us see the power to create and use our words wisely!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Mildred
