Surprise – Long Time NO See!

17 11 2016

changeFor some of you who have been with me for a while you have asked, have I quit blogging. I never quit, rather I was undergoing some changes and writing took an unexpected turn.

I lost a close friend in May 2016 who died unexpectedly from pneumonia. She was a key part of Complete Joy Ministries. When she died everything in the ministry fell upon my shoulders. It was a tough transition and I am glad to say our ministry is coming through to the other side. I am stronger, I am more committed to the work of the ministry to equip the saints of Yeshua to do the works of service Yahweh has prepared them to do.

As I come back to blogging I am not picking up where I left off with the Kingdom of Heaven and righteousness but speaking instead to where we are today in James 1:13. We are talking about change, temptation and the Kingdom of Heaven! We have a new president and we are in a new season. Here in the USA we are tempted to walk into the downward spiral of a country who walked much like I did into unexpected change.

James 1:13 No one being tempted should say, “I am being tempted by God.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, and God himself tempts no one. 14 Rather, each person is being tempted whenever he is being dragged off and enticed by the bait of his own desire. 15 Then, having conceived, the desire gives birth to sin; and when sin is fully grown, it gives birth to death. 16 Don’t delude yourselves, my dear brothers.

We are often tempted to do one thing or another. Join me next time when we take up the conversation on change, temptation and the Kingdom of Heaven!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

Critical Change

17 07 2015

tabernacle tent to buyWe just finished a series called maturity in our ever shifting atmosphere.  So today we are switching gears and looking at critical change.

In this new season God is making critical changes in all our lives. One of the greatest points of critical change in the bible is the choice of the Israelites not to trust God (Number 14), costing them 40 years and countless lives in the process.

I have hit one of these critical changes with the arrival of the Oregon Tabernacle Tent. The Lord had called me to change my prayer life, to believe for the big things and to walk pressing into the deeper calling He has for my life.

I have had to evaluate everything I am involved in, how I spend my time and expend my energy. God has given me a new assignment to be the shepherd and caretaker of the Oregon Tabernacle Tent as part of Complete Joy Ministries. It is a

traveling extension of our Shalom Oregon House of Prayer. God has set forth the plans and it is my choice to see the giants in the land and say no, and stand in the shadow of an almighty God and take the ride of my life.

And so I choose life, it isn’t the easy thing, it meant that when no one in Portland would help put the tent together I stepped out and asked people from our state capitol 50 miles away to come to my aid. They are not only providing a place to set it up for the first time but they are providing a team to put it together. God further confirmed this was the right things to do as He gave them a vision of for a wooden floor to go under and secure the tent as well. God is providing more than I could ask for or imagine, securing this truth: I am on the ride of a life time, and on track to see the miracles and the wonders of God!

Be strong and courageous in those areas requiring you to make critical change and always remember these words from Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”.

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

Finishing Well

10 07 2015

mountain and valley1We are in a series called maturity in our ever shifting atmosphere.  Last time we explored God-given maturity and beginning well. Today we are looking finishing well.

When I think of finishing well these words, he who began a good work in you… from Philippians 1 come to mind. Let’s look at the whole verse.

“In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

Php 1:4-6

Paul is speaking of those people who partnered with him in the spreading of the gospel. He is confident that God who began a good work in them, to follow Christ, will carry them through to the very last day of their lives.

The key to finishing well is relying on God. Hebrews 12:2 tells us “fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of faith”. It is in keeping your eyes focused on God and looking to at Jesus’ life as our model we learn how to finish well.

Two years ago, God gave a vision of an Oregon Tabernacle Tent and how 10 people would sew into this work and finance thetabernacle tent to buy purchase of this tent. Some have prayed into this vision, others have given to its purchase and this week CJM purchased the 20×20 tent. This phase of the journey is finishing well, having come through the believing for its purchase. It took keeping our eyes focused on God, his plans and purposes to see it come into reality. It seems a long time coming, yet as CJM purchased the tent I thought, “really God are we ready to move forward?” So we are off to another beginning and I know God will bring the Oregon Tabernacle Tent mission to completion as we keep our eyes fixed and focused on him!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

The Relationship that Sustain in a Shifting Atmosphere!

1 05 2015

11087581_sIn our last post we opened a series on our ever shifting atmosphere and the need for maturity. These words are key, for they reveal the difference between walking in maturity and walking in our own strength.

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love,

I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,

but do not have love, I gain nothing.

1Co 13:1 – 3

Before there is obedience, before their is maturity leading naturally into authority, there must be an encounter with God our Father. It is through this relationship that we were created to grow and mature. Moses did not have a vibrant mature relationship with God in Egypt because the bible tells us  in Exodus chapter  3, as Moses tended this father-in-law’s flocks he encountered God.

Moses struggled with those who oppressed his people and still today we struggle with the oppression we face in our daily lives. It is through our relationship with God which brings us to a place of speaking in love, acting in love and giving in love which birthing life in others rather than release the pain in our hearts which can build up when someone does something we don’t agree with.

We would do well to reflect upon the life of Moses; for as he grew in his relationship with God, he learned to follow God and as he followed God, he saw God set his people free!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

Stress, Change and Joy!

13 02 2015
New clients welcome!

New clients welcome!

Dealing with change and the stress it causes it tough, but we must choose not to focus on the stress we feel. Hebrews 12 reminds us we have to keep our eyes focused on the author and perfector of our faith! With faith we must focus on those things that are good and lovely, on the things that are right and true.

In the beginning God created the world. He chose to look at the good, not the clutter, not the unfinished business of creation, every day He focused on the end product, the miracle of creation.

As I walk around our offices I can look at all the things that are unfinished, from the chair rail that needs to be put up in the reception area to the scriptures needing to be printed and hung or I can marvel at all the healing that is taking place.

Where and how we focus is up to us. We chose to see the good God has done or become self-absorbed and stressed as we focus on what He/we still have to do.

Focusing on the big picture (including both what has been done along with the things that haven’t been done) allows me to keep my balance, releasing the joy to sit down for an hour to get another scripture designed and printed for our walls rather than being overwhelmed by the 20 still waiting to be designed.

Thinking again of Hebrew 12, stress is part of life and how we manage stress is an important part of how well we transition into and through this new season. There will always be things to do so watch your focus, that way you won’t miss the miracles and the joy happening right before our eyes!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

Change is Tough!

30 01 2015
New clients welcome!

New clients welcome!

For those of you who have been reading this blog for several years, some since 2007, you know I don’t miss my publishing dates, yet this is the first post in 2015

We have all entered 2015 and with that have come change. Every entry ends in 2015 instead of 2014. Everyone in the USA is getting ready for April and tax time. There are lots of changes and for me and for many others there have been major changes!

We have move to a new offices. It wasn’t smooth, it wasn’t easy but we are there. Our new offices are at 1509 SE 122nd, Portland, Oregon 97233 and with it comes new stresses and strains.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Php 4:6-7

How we deal with change affects our mood. Most people as they experience change feel some degree of stress, of which I am not immune. My focus has been impaired.  The first Friday came and went, I was struggling and tired, so I didn’t even realize I missed the post date. The second one I was still struggling and couldn’t put words together beyond releasing a boat load of complains (yes, I am human), so I chose not to write a post.

Last week, I remembered as I sat working with clients and determined this week I would write this post. God has worked in me, I was upset about the paint color in my office and God has revealed truth. We have had major printer problems which are slowly being resolved and to the glory of God, CJM had the funds to pay our rent which has gone up 400%.

Change is tough, give yourself a break, even if those around you can’t. God knows and He is right there with you, He cares and He is seeing you through not just for a moment but all the way to that place of peace that transcends all understanding!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

Agreement and Brilliant Faith!

5 12 2014

bridge reflectionWe have been talking about walking in agreement with God and if you remember our story you know we were getting ready to write the check. The check is written and as we wait to execute the lease now the reality of what we need from God is setting in.

Part of stepping out in agreement is realizing how much God is real going to provide in the new season.

CJM is taking furniture for 54 square feet to begin furnishing three offices and 494 square feet. Not to speak of the common areas, a conference/work room and a reception area another 550 square feet.

It is a big project and so we must rely on our really big God. Yes, we are a faith-based non-profit, but that will take us only so far, God must provide and CJM must trust that when He (our really big God) casts a vision, He will see it through.jonah.and.the.whale.02

Knowing God sends us is what makes our faith brilliant even in the midst of the darkness. I think of Jonah who was sitting in belly of the whale. As Jonah allowed brilliant faith to overcome his humanness, God said to Jonah “Go to the great city of Nineveh and proclaim to it the message I give you.” Jonah 3:2.

Remember those words which your really big God used to engage and ignite your faith, let those words resound in you, allowing the brilliance of your faith to overcome the darkness so like Jonah you can say:

“But I, with shouts of grateful praise, will sacrifice to you. What I have vowed I will make good. I will say, ‘Salvation comes from the LORD.”

Jonah 2:9
