Walking in the Miraculous through Man

8 01 2013

Key to the kingdomAs we move deeper and deeper into the Kingdom Age we are going to see God move in ways we can grasp and in ways beyond anything we could imagine.

I want to tell you two stories about two lost phones and how God moved in both instances. The first one happened to a friend.

Renee was visiting her dad in the hospital and after returning home, realized she lost her phone. She looked in her car and through her purse. Then the Lord gave her a personal word “not to worry because she would have a message at work about the phone and it would be returned”. Even with this word, she put the phone service on hold and contacted the hospital and security for their help. But to no avail.  It was lost.

The next morning Renee went to work expecting to find a message about the phone, but there wasn’t. She chose to believe God and so she went

on with her work day. She continued to pray as the day neared noon and she contemplated having to get a new phone.

After returning from lunch, she received the long awaited phone call from her step daughter, telling her that her phone had been found and given to another relative who had been at the hospital for an appointment.

God worked through man to accomplish his plans and purposes as God gave Renee a word about someone returning her phone but it required her to trust, believe and stand firm on the truth He revealed to her.

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

Struggle to Believe

20 03 2012

I have been waiting for a new computer and in the last week I finally got it. Before getting my new PC a good friend and supporter of Complete Joy Ministries gave me a 17 inch flat screen monitor. It was smaller than I wanted but I was so thankful for she saved me $150 dollars so I deposited the monitor in my office closet as a reminder one day the new PC would come.

A week ago we got the new PC and when I picked up the monitor it seemed bigger but I didn’t think anything of it. For a week the computer and monitor sat in my husband’s office as he installed programs and got the PC ready for me to use.

The computer was now ready and as I moved the box, monitor and keyboard into my office. looking at it again I was sure the monitor was larger and thought only God could have done this? Struggling with this possible miracle I asked my husband, what was the monitor size, he said it was the size I wanted, 21 inches. Still not sure if the monitor was larger, I ask my friend to come look at the monitor and she remarked it is larger and then told me she knew she purchased a 17 inch monitor for it was all she could afford. The next day still struggling, I measured the monitor and it was still 21 inches.

My struggle wasn’t if God could do this, but rather, why would he do this because I was ok with the 17 inch monitor. Now instead of resting and enjoying my new PC I struggled to believe he really did enlarge the monitor by 4 inches? It seems so meaningless, yet each day I am faced with the truth of a miraculous God who will not only grow a man’s leg 4 inches but also a computer monitor. A God who hears and knows our hearts desires and he will move in miraculous ways when we lease expect it, just because he loves us!

God I thank you for the gift of a larger monitor, may it and the PC be used to your glory!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

Keys to Believing!

17 03 2012

Recently I met my prayer partner, Rebecca, for lunch. Usually we pray on the phone together once a week, but today we wanted to pray in person because our needs were more pressing. She was sitting in her car when I arrived, so we both go out of our cars to go into the restaurant. After she closed the car door, suddenly she began checking her pockets and hunting in her purse for she realized she had locked her keys in the car. I told her not to worry that I would take her home as she had done for me in the past and we went on and had a nice lunch.

As we finished eating we took time to pray together, Rebecca prayed for me and then I prayed for her, asking the Lord to do for my friend what He had on two occasions done for me, to put her keys which had been locked in the car into her pocket.

As we finished praying I share with Rebecca why I asked God to put her keys back in her pocket and how twice over the last three years after locking my keys in the trunk I asked God to put them in my pocket and he did. Both times in front of witnesses! So with anticipation she felt in the same pockets she had checked before we entered the restaurant and they were there!

James 1:6 tells; when we ask God we must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.  God put those keys back in my friend’s pocket because she believed!

God created the universe so moving a set of keys was no big deal, except to us!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

Christ reveals the Faith of Man

24 12 2011

Keeping Christ real is to have a health awe of Christ and today we will be looking at how Christ our Healer reveals the Faith of Man. The faith of Man can be an elusive thing, because we aren’t looking for it but God always highlights it

Christ first reveals the Faith of Man in his own personal walk as he responds to his mother’s request in Cana, turning water into wine at the wedding, John 2. Christ knew his faith must be walked out and so he did so.

Christ also reveals the Faith of Man in those he healed; one example, the woman who couldn’t stop bleeding. She knew if she touched Christ’s garment she would be healed, Jesus said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” Mark 5:34

Christ reveals the Faith of Man in those around him, in his disciples and those who followed him throughout the New Testament as they believed in him, the son of God and their sins were forgiven.

Finally Christ is still revealing the Faith of Man as He calls out to us today, this revelation of Man’s faith through Christ our Healer is the same yesterday, today and forever!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

Christ Our Healer

17 12 2011

Keeping Christ real is to have a health awe of Christ and in this post we begin exploring Christ our healer.

We find the bible recording twenty-four unique times where Christ heals, from healing the sick in Galilee, Matthew 4 to healing the severed ear of the high priest servant, John 18.

Throughout human history, healers are known and loved as much as they are questioned this was certainly true of Christ.  When we speak of Christ our healer, we must remember he healed not only healed the physical body but also healed the soul of man was well, as he healed the demoniac in Mark 1:25 (also recorded in Luke 4:39).

Christ as our healer also reveals two things:

            The Love of God

            The Faith of Man

Here is where I desire to focus the next two posts. I hope you will join me next time!

As I close I want to say to all those faithful readers who wondered why nothing had been posted for over a week,  I was sick. I am on the mend and back writing, for Christ is still our healer!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

Entering into a New Season of Reconciliation and Grace

16 08 2011

I am convinced that we are entering into a new season of reconciliation and as we enter into this new season we also receive its byproduct grace!

I believe God is bringing us into a unique time of reconciliation, several prophetic people, including Mario Marillo is speaking of this open heaven over Portland, where many will come to Christ. I believe this reconciliation is both inside as well as outside the church.

God is calling us all to forgive others as we have first been forgiven. It is a time where those who have been wounded will be healed physically, emotionally and spiritually, some miraculously!

Recently at church, a woman was in the hospital after suffering a heart attack. Her blood sugar (she is diabetic) and vital signs were fluctuating so greatly that she was in real danger, as her son finished telling me, I offered to pray for him and his mother. As I began to pray I sensed the “Balance” so I began praying for his mother’s body to come back into balance and for her to partner with God in this process. During the service our pastor also led our church in praying for his mother.

An hour and half later after the service ended, the son of this woman came up and said “I have to tell you I just called my dad and mom’s vitals are balanced, her blood sugar is good and she is sitting up cutting out coupons from the Sunday paper!” We were both overjoyed and I couldn’t contain my praise of our almighty God!

When the service began my friend feared for his mother’s life and after he was overjoyed at how God had reconciled the situation, showing mercy and grace to he, his mother and their family!

Join me next time when we talk more about this new season of reconciliation and grace!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

Fear vs. Blessing

31 05 2011

We are in a series on Murmuring and today we will talk about fear, the third major cause of murmuring.

The Israelites had overcome their murmuring in the camp caused by the lack of food and water, but now could they overcome their murmuring when faced with the giants of the Promised Land.

The story of Israel sending out the 12 spies into the Promised Land can be found in Number 13. Upon their return the 12 spies gave their report to Moses and the people of Israel. These famous words of 10 the spies of from verses 27 and 28 reveal how fear leads to murmuring and ultimately the loss of our blessing:

“We went into the land to which you sent us, and it does flow with milk and honey! Here is its fruit.  But the people who live there are powerful and the cities are fortified and very large.”

The facts were all true, and did you see the fear crept in, with the word “But” Ten of the spies expressed their assessment of the situation, which was all subjective. I loved what Caleb said in response; “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.” He was not walking in fear, but rather in faith for he knew his God was greater than the people of the land. Caleb didn’t allow fear to control his belief in the provision of God so he was ready to receive the blessings of God in the Promised Land.

Unfortunately the Israelites embraced the fear and sinned against God by not going in and taking possession of the land. Had it not been for Moses, God’s chosen people would have been put to death right on the spot. God allowed the current generation of Israelites to live out their years wandering through the desert, so the future generation would finally enter the Promised Land.

This is how extreme the loss of blessing can be when we murmur. God does forgive, but there make come a time when because of our murmuring (which here lead to there lack of action), we like the Israelites will not walk into the blessings God has for us.

This story serves as a good reminder of the impact murmuring has on our lives. Murmuring which destroys our faith, we can cause us to lose the God’s blessings because we are focused on our situation instead of on who God is and what He will can do.

Forgive us Father, for we know not what we do.

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Mildred
