How Committed Are You? Part 3

10 06 2016

12755593_sWe are in the series, How committed are you? In this new season, we all must assess how committed we are to our God and following His plans for our lives even when to follow means pain, struggle and loss. Today we are looking at the blindness of God’s servants.

Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes he could see nothing.

So they led him by the hand into Damascus.

For three days he was blind, and did not eat or drink anything.

Act 9:8 -9

I hope you are familiar with this story of Paul in the book of Acts and his conversion to Christ.  Each of us walk in blindness in an area until like Saul until we receive revelational knowledge from God. For Saul this revelational knowledge change himzagart701 - landscape from Saul to Paul and ignited his great knowledge of scripture, pointing the world both Jew and gentile to Yeshua and forever changing his ministry!

Like Saul (before the revelational knowledge) we can walk in spiritual blindness until the revelational knowledge comes. What are you waiting for? Has God touched your life and you know you have to wait? Allow another, called by God to speak into and minister to you as Paul did. Wait, Fast, Pray and seek God, pressing into all that He is calling you into so that when the revelational knowledge comes you will see clearly and begin your new work with boldness!

Join me next time!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

How Committed are You?

1 04 2016

12755593_sToday we begin a new blog series, How committed are you? In this new season, we all must assess how committed we are to our God and following His plans for our lives.

Who is blind but my servant, and deaf like the messenger I send? Who is blind like the one in covenant with me, blind like the servant of the LORD?  You have seen many things, but you pay no attention; your ears are open, but you do not listen.”

Isa 42:19 – 20

In this passage the Lord is speaking to His people Israel who were supposed to be in a committed relationship with Him and willing to follow His plans in their lives, but clearly if you read on, they weren’t as committed to Him and He was to them.

Like Israel, you and I can take our relationship with the Lord and His plans us for granted. We can read our bible, go to church and yes even pray as if they were all part of a grand Christian check list, instead of that place where God releases His plans and strategies.  This is a new day and a new season. Do you hear the Lord calling you into a greater level of relationship? Are you willing to be fed and equipped with new manna you will need to enter new territories where you have never been before?

Join me next time as we explore how we as His servants can become deaf.

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

How to MOVE in the new season!

26 02 2016

moveWe are beginning a new series called “How to MOVE in this new season”. We will be using the acrostic MOVE to explain several important aspects of our movement in this season.

To Move is to go continuously from one point to another!

We take as our inspiration from these two verses:

And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees

and be careful to keep my laws.

Eze 36:27

“For in him we live and move and have our being.”

As some of your own poets have said, “We are his offspring.”

Act 17:28

We have to watch as we move forward in this season because there is so much that is passing by, whether it is the weekly services, maybe another conference or something else, we have to be aware of when and how to move so we stay in harmony with the plans and purposes of God!

We have to understand and know our motives; we have to be obedient to God. We have to walk with virtue and allow God to equip us, because without His equipping us, we might find ourselves off course or stranded in the middle of the night!

Join me next time as we look at the M in move, Motives!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

Ready, Set, Move!

19 02 2016

2016 calendarWe began this series with a prophetic word for 2016, God intends to work in and through each of us! Last time we looked at letting God behind the curtain. Today we finish up this series by taking another look at this key scripture.

…being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Php 1:6

If we look at the verses before our key verse and we see the apostle Paul speaking to the Philippians telling them how he prays with joy and gives thanks to God because of there partnership in the gospel. He understands there humanity, he doesn’t expect them to be perfect, rather he commends them for their partnership in the gospel.

You and I can be confident in this; God will perfect us if we allow ourselves to wait, 20160210_163152_004and as we wait inviting God behind the curtain to bring healing to our woundedness, while restoring us body, soul and spirit for the plans and purposes He has for each of us as we partner with him!

In 2016 watch for the hand of God move. Don’t step out in fear, frustration or boredom. Allow the maturity of the Lord to rest upon you and when the spirit of the Lord said “Move”, then move, and not before. Moving too early will bring fear, moving too late can bring frustration and not being willing to move can bring boredom.

We all have seen these and they are never pretty to watch and more painful when we are the ones moving at the wrong time!

Join me next time when we begin a new series, How to MOVE in this new season!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

Shining Through the Process

8 01 2016

2016 calendarLast time we explored a prophetic word for 2016 and the truth that God intends to work in and through each of us in 2016, so allow God’s light to shine! Today we will begin exploring this mystery of letting your light shine.

“For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.  But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.  We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;  persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.”

2Co 4:6 -9

The body of Yeshua is facing some huge challenges in 2016. For CJM the first of these challenges is in painting the 20×20Ott in Salem OTT (Oregon Tabernacle Tent) foundation which is made up of over a dozen T-11 plywood and 2×4 pieces that come together like a giant jigsaw puzzle, so we are going to paint a map on the foundation to aid in assembly while providing needed protection from the elements.

To say the least this is a huge job. We have been working for two months getting things together, first wrestling to embrace God’s vision for the project (I am coming to understand how Noah felt), second a place to paint the foundation, then finding the right paint for both sides of the foundation. All these things have to be in place before we start. Then we have to find a crew to paint?

2 Corinthians 4 tells us we have a treasure (the truth of our messiah) in clay jars (our human bodies), and as I have worked to conserve my energy to make it through. We have been hard pressed on every side during this process, but like diamonds there was a purpose, that we wouldn’t buy the wrong paint! God has sustain us, encouraged us, as we prepare to paint next week I rejoice that we will see the OTT foundation ready for the 2016 season!

If you are in the Portland, Oregon area, we invite you to bring a scripture of worship, praise or prayer to put on the underside of the OTT foundation, go to our Facebook page for more details!

Join me next time as we look at shining while we wait!

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie

Moving Forward

7 08 2015

No Fear signIn this new season we must move forward, we must press in and watch the hand of God move!

As you do allow these words from Psalm 27 lead you!

Psa 27:1  Of David.

The LORD is my light and my salvation–whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life–of whom shall I be afraid?

Psa 27:2  When the wicked advance against me to devour me, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall.

Psa 27:3  Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.

Psa 27:4  One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.

Psa 27:5  For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock.

Psa 27:6  Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at his sacred tent I will sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the LORD.

Psa 27:7  Hear my voice when I call, LORD; be merciful to me and answer me.

Psa 27:8  My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, LORD, I will seek.

Psa 27:9  Do not hide your face from me, do not turn your servant away in anger; you have been my helper. Do not reject me or forsake me, God my Savior.

Psa 27:10  Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me.

Psa 27:11  Teach me your way, LORD; lead me in a straight path because of my oppressors.

Psa 27:12  Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes, for false witnesses rise up against me, spouting malicious accusations.

Psa 27:13  I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

Psa 27:14  Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.

Blessings,

Millie

Beginning Well!

3 07 2015

mountain and valley1We are in a series called maturity in our ever shifting atmosphere.  Last time we explored God-given maturity and what it is in an ever shifting atmosphere. Today we are looking at beginning well in an every shifting atmosphere.

How we begin is key! Let’s look at the story in I Samuel 3. It is the story of Eli teaching Samuel his apprentice to listen to God.  Three times young Samuel hears someone calling to him, and thinking it was Eli he went to him. Once Eli understood what was happening, he rightly turned Samuel’s focus upon the one calling him, his Lord.

For Samuel this was the beginning of a relationship with his Lord. As we begin new things, God allows us to have those around us like Eli who can recognize what is going on and direct us. OurLeadership challenge is to walk in maturity by not getting down on ourselves when the answer seems simple, choosing instead to humble ourselves as Samuel did to say, “Speak Lord, your servant is listening”.

This is what it is to walk in a new depth of maturity in this shifting atmosphere, by beginning well. Enjoy your new adventures, allow yourself to begin well, taking advice from those around you!

So as you begin your new adventures, meditating on these words in Proverbs 3:5-6; “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Blessings and Complete Joy,

Millie
