While praying on the radio, affirming we are all overcomers, I was reminded of this verse in Revelations:
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” Rev 12:11 (KJV)
The gift of Christ’s blood gave you the ability to overcome, but to become someone who overcomes you must act by opening your mouth. What are the truths the Lord has stored up in you? What have you overcome?
We don’t overcome a fear until we face it. We have to express the truth for then the truth sets us free. I think of all the residual anger and unforgiveness I had toward my husband and Portland before I prayed the prayer I shared last time, and now I am free. I had to choose and take action to confess, repent and forgive first to myself and God and then to my husband. I have such joy because I am walking out the words of my testimony!
Don’t be afraid of the truth that God has stirring within you. Allow yourself to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. You are more than your faults and the trauma you have endured, you are a new man, for you have overcome!
